SPCA Tampa Bay appoints new Board Chair
SPCA Tampa Bay is pleased to announce the appointment of Carrie O’Brion as the new president and board chair. O’Brion will serve a two-year term and she succeeds Jonathon Browy, who served as SPCA Tampa Bay Board Chair since 2018.
O’Brion previously chaired SPCA Tampa Bay’s Development and Marketing committee. Browy will remain on the board in an advisory past president role.
“I’d like to thank Jonathon for his tremendous service,” said O’Brion. “He’s an outstanding ambassador and a great role model for SPCA Tampa Bay.” During Browy’s term, SPCA Tampa Bay opened the Animal Resource Center in Palm Harbor and expanded services at the SPCA Tampa Bay Veterinary Center in St. Petersburg.
Also joining the SPCA Tampa Bay is new board member Catherine Mitchell. The organization also thanked Michele Egerter for her six years of service on the board. Egerter will remain involved with the organization.
