Adopt a Rabbit or Other Small Animal
Plan your visit and find the perfect small animal or reptile for you. We have pocket pets such as rabbits, rats, turtles, hamsters, snakes, and birds, along with livestock such as pigs and chickens all waiting to be adopted at SPCA Tampa Bay. If you are ready to adopt a small animal, reptile, or livestock at SPCA Tampa Bay, check our website right before you arrive to see if they are available.
Potential adopters are encouraged to come to the shelter to meet with the animal of interest. During your visit, you can speak with an adoptions counselor about any questions that you have. You do not need to schedule an appointment, feel free to come anytime during our open adoption hours. Save time when you come and fill out/print your Adoption Information Sheet ahead of your visit. Please bring a carrier for small animal adoptions. If you do not bring one with you, we have those items for sale as well.
