How You Can Give

A charitable gift from your estate is a highly beneficial method of giving as it enables you to achieve your financial goals and benefit SPCA Tampa Bay at the same time. There are two simple ways to give through your estate:  a Bequest or a Charitable Gift Annuity.

Bequest Gifts

A bequest may be right for you if:

  • You want to make a gift to SPCA Tampa Bay.
  • You want the flexibility to makes changes if needed.
  • You want continued access to your wealth, should you need it.
  • You are concerned about outliving your resources.

Charitable Gift Annuity-Giving and Generating income

Through our partnership with the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, you can make a lifetime gift that will generate income for you and leave a gift to the SPCA.

A charitable gift annuity provides fixed payments for life in exchange for a gift of cash or securities to SPCA Tampa Bay. With the generous increase in annuity rates in 2018, this is an extremely effective way to reach both your retirement and philanthropic goals. Gift annuities are easy to set up and the payments you receive are backed by the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay. A charitable gift annuity could be right for you if:

  • You want to maintain or increase your cash flow.
  • You want the security of fixed, dependable payments for life.
  • You want to save income taxes or capital gains taxes.
  • You would like income that is partially tax-free.
  • You want to make a generous gift to SPCA.
  • You are considering a gift amount of $25,000 or more.
  • You are at least 65 years of age.

Deferred Gift Annuity

A deferred charitable gift annuity provides fixed payments to you for life in exchange for your gift of cash or securities. Payments start on a date of your choice, at least one year after you make the gift. You will find the 2018 increased annuity rates even more generous. Deferred gift annuities are easy to set up, and the payments you receive are backed by the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay for as long as you live. A deferred charitable gift annuity could be right for you if:

  • You have sufficient income now but want to supplement your cash flow later, perhaps when you retire.
  • You want the security of fixed, dependable payments for life.
  • You want to save income taxes or capital gains taxes.
  • You would like income that may be partially tax-free.
  • You are considering a gift amount of $50,000 or more.
