Who We Are
SPCA Tampa Bay Women’s Annual Giving Society (WAGS) is a community of compassionate women who collectively impact the mission of SPCA Tampa Bay and the animals we serve through strategic philanthropy and volunteerism.
Our Commitment
WAGS members will directly support SPCA Tampa Bay initiatives and programs by making an annual gift of $1000 or $500 + 20 hours of volunteer service. Each year, members will select an initiative or program to support homeless pets and wildlife in our community.

Who Can Join?
The goal of WAGS is to engage women+ through philanthropy and make an impact on SPCA Tampa Bay’s programs. We believe that an inclusive and diverse membership is necessary in order to drive meaningful change. Organizations and male allies can show support by sponsoring a membership or an event.
Is This A Giving Circle?
Yes! The concept is as simple as it is powerful. A giving circle is formed when individuals of like interest come together to pool their dollars, contribute their time and talent, decide where to give, and learn together about their community, its needs, and issues.
What is WAGS’ purpose?
Our goal is to collectively impact the mission of SPCA Tampa Bay and the animals we serve through strategic philanthropy and volunteerism. Each year, members select an SPCA Tampa Bay initiative or program to support our annual gifts. Together, we are transforming the lives of animals and the people who love them.
How Can I Join?
There are two ways to join:
- Make an annual commitment of $1000 (Hope Level)
- Make an annual commitment of $500 + 20 hours of volunteer service (Compassion Level)
What is the Term of Membership?
A member may join any time throughout the year and make her financial gift annually or in monthly installments. Volunteer hours must be completed within 12 months of joining or renewal of membership.
What Volunteer Opportunities Are Available?
Members have the opportunity to engage in group service projects at our Largo shelter, participate as a team captain in our annual Pet Walk, and volunteer caring for the shelter pets and wildlife at our Largo shelter. Members will be contacted after they register for WAGS to select their volunteer roles.
