SPCA Tampa Bay is committed to the protection of all animals, including wildlife. Annually we care for more than 8,000 animals and that includes wildlife at our For-All animal shelter in Largo. Our team, in collaboration with local partners, provides medical attention and rehabilitation services for possums, blue jays, squirrels, rabbits and more animals native to Florida.

SPCA Tampa Bay does not transport injured wildlife to our For-All animal shelter in Largo.

What To Do If You’ve Found Wildlife

If the animal has obvious injuries, please give us a call immediately at 727-586-3592. If it’s after hours, refer to our After Hours Help located below . If you cannot see obvious injuries on the animal refer to these tips from Humane Society of the United States and Central Mississippi Turtle Rescue on what to do to help.
