W.A.G.S. Member Spotlight – Natalie

W.A.G.S. (Women’s Annual Giving Society) Members contribute their time, treasure, and talent to support our homeless pets and wildlife here at SPCA Tampa Bay.

W.A.G.S. (Women’s Annual Giving Society) Member spotlight on Natalie Symons, local author, playwright, and SPCA Tampa Bay Ambassador with her pup Chloe!

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your pet:
I’m an author, playwright and Chloe’s mom. Chloe is an SPCA Tampa Bay adoptee. She sleeps in later than me, is the world’s best cuddler, and the funniest dog I’ve ever met.

Can you share some info about your book and where folks can learn more?
My debut novel Lies in Bone, a literary mystery set in an 80’s steel town, is now on sale wherever books are sold. It recently won an Eric Hoffer Award from the US Review of Books and recently hit the top 10 in Suspense on Amazon.

What’s your favorite pet friendly place to go or activity to do with your pet?
Chloe loves to walk around Crescent Lake to stalk squirrels. Due to her perfect form and terrible execution, she often draws a crowd. Afterwards she likes to stop at Three Birds Tavern for a treat, while her mom and dad have a drink.

What inspired you to join WAGS?
Both Chloe and my beloved late Keeshond, Andy are SPCA Tampa Bay alum. No organization means more to me than this one.
