SUMMARY:SPCA Tampa Bay's Summer Adopt-A-Thon
DESCRIPTION:SPCA Tampa Bay is discounting adoption fees on all animals during their Summer Adopt-A-Thon! All dogs and cats can be adopted this summer at half their normal fee from SPCA Tampa Bay. Additionally\, all small animals such as rabbits\, guinea pigs\, birds\, and reptiles are available to adopt for half their normal fee\, or in pairs\, two for the fee of one. \n\nAs a For-All shelter\, SPCA Tampa Bay accepts all animals regardless of the circumstance or situation. There are many reasons why an animal shelter receives animals\, and every single situation is unique. SPCA Tampa Bay currently has over 45 dogs\, 55 cats\, and 85 pocket pets and livestock available for adoption and awaiting a loving home. \n\n“The summer season is especially challenging for animal shelters across the board. Our hope is this adopt-a-thon will inspire people who have been thinking of adding a furry friend to their family to do so now\,” said Kristen Davis\, SPCA Tampa Bay’s Director of Marketing and Communications. “If you are unable to adopt\, please consider volunteering\, fostering\, or getting involved with the SPCA Tampa Bay in other ways this summer.” \n\nFor some people\, the summer brings longer days and more free time which can be the perfect scenario for introducing a new pet to your family. DESCRIPTION:SPCA Tampa Bay is waiving adoption fees on Sunday\, May 26 for fifteen all-star dogs to conclude the shelter’s month-long Mental Health Awareness Month initiative. These fifteen adoptable pups were selected by SPCA Tampa Bay staff and volunteers who have developed their own special connections with these animals during their time at the shelter. SPCA Tampa Bay’s All-Star Adoption Event is sponsored by M.E. Wilson. \nWhen:             Adoption hours on Sunday\, May 26 are from 10am to 6pm.                                     \nWhere:            SPCA Tampa Bay\, located at 9099 130th Avenue North\, Largo\, Florida 33773. \nHow:               View adoptable dogs at spcatampabay.org/dogs or visit the shelter in Largo. Potential adopters are encouraged to arrive early and bring a leash or carrier that’s appropriate for your new pet. Some dogs are excluded from this adoption event. We currently have more than 50 eligible dogs available for adoption at no fee from SPCA Tampa Bay. All dogs are microchipped\, vaccinated\, and spayed or neutered. \nPotential adopters are encouraged to arrive early and bring a leash\, collar\, or harness for your new dog. If you have another dog at home it’s recommended to bring your current canine for a meet and greet to ensure everyone is a great match. Please plan to bring someone with you to assist with this process. \nPets can bring love to a family that lasts a lifetime and not just for the holidays. SPCA Tampa Bay’s staff and volunteers can assist families in finding a pet that’s right for their lifestyle.
