The Patch: Tampa Bay Rescue Groups Provide Pups With Shelter From The Storm

LAND O’ LAKES, FL — Among the victims of Hurricane Ida, which slammed into Louisiana and Mississippi at noon Sunday, Aug. 29, were more than 50 shelter dogs who arrived in Pasco County just as Ida made landfall, packing 150-mph winds and bringing 8 to 12 feet of storm surge. Several of those dogs were welcomed at SPCA Tampa Bay.
