SPCA Tampa Bay Welcomes New Board Chair

SPCA Tampa Bay is pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Gaunce as its new president and board chair. Gaunce will serve a one-year term and he succeeds Carrie O’Brion, who served as board chair since 2020.

Gaunce previously chaired SPCA Tampa Bay’s Governance committee. Gaunce is a business attorney located in St Pete.  His firm specializes in employment and business law. O’Brion will remain on the board in an advisory past president role.

“I’d like to thank Carrie for her tremendous service,” said Gaunce. “She’s an outstanding ambassador and a role model for SPCA Tampa Bay.” During O’Brion’s term SPCA Tampa Bay managed to serve the community and annually care for more than 7,000 animals during the peak of the pandemic.

Also joining SPCA Tampa Bay is new board member Beverly Frank, a principal at the innovative firm BFrank Studio, LLC. BFrank Studio, LLC is a small, certified minority and woman-owned architectural firm based in the Tampa Bay area, engaged in a range of commercial and institutional projects on many scales.

“My desire to be involved with SPCA Tampa Bay stems from a passion for compassionate care for all animals,” said Frank.
