From the moment Hippo arrived at SPCA Tampa Bay, our medical team knew they were in for a challenge. It takes steady, daily treatment to resolve complicated skin issues, and Hippo was battling more than one.

For months, our medical team worked to resolve her skin issues and fell in love with her sweet disposition. Staff and volunteers delighted in Hippo’s progress, watching her spirit lift as her skin healed. Finally, after 139 days, Hippo was ready to find her new forever home.

Her new family saw Hippo in our Adventure Dog YouTube series and came in the next day to take Hippo home. Healthy and happy, Hippo is flourishing, and donors like you made it happen.
