Generous Gift Helps Pets At Both SPCATB Campus’

spvc

In December 2020, a gift from the Margaret & David Perry Foundation funded the purchase of two new pieces of equipment for our veterinary center that were delivered earlier this month – a new ultrasound unit and digital dental x-ray machine.

The new ultrasound unit with color doppler functionality will allow current diagnostics to continue, while also opening the world of the chest, allowing our team to view the heart, as well as the blood-flow around it, and diagnose heart conditions in pets.

SPVC thank you

The digital dental x-ray machine will allow our team to perform immediate, comprehensive dental X-rays while the pet is anesthetized to identify problem areas and to help direct and
customize the dental procedure.

PLUS, the gently-used equipment that these new devices replace will go to SPCA Tampa Bay’s Largo shelter to give shelter vet, Dr. Pindar, and her team some better diagnostic tools.

Dr. Pindar is particularly excited about the x-ray, saying, “It’ll be small enough to use on wildlife”.

A win-win for both SPCA Tampa Bay Veterinary Center and our shelter!

As a result of the generous gift, we will also name the veterinary center lobby in memory of
Margaret and David Perry.
