Chris and his husband met Brody at a St. Pete Pride expo and instantly fell in love with the pup. He was in the care of an Orlando-based rescue shelter, where he was being treated for a broken leg. Chris and his husband took him to their home a month later, and over the past seven years, Brody has become an essential part of the family. Though Brody now has a “sister,” he still commands the attention in the room with his beautiful coloring and acting abilities. Brody learned early on how to use his leg injury to get out of trouble. Even years since his broken leg has healed, whenever Brody is in trouble, he will sit down, perfectly poised, and hold up his paw like it is injured.
