A For-All Shelter

Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Tampa Bay is a non-profit, animal welfare agency that runs an open-admission For-All animal shelter and public pet hospital (veterinary center) in Pinellas County. If you are looking to adopt dogs and cats we have been serving the community for more than 80 years. We also have visitors to our shelter adopt rabbits, guinea pigs and more. Annually SPCA Tampa Bay cares for almost 7,000 animals that have been surrendered by their owners, along with injured wildlife.

Our Mission

Through passionate collaboration with our community, we transform the lives of animals.

Our adoptions volunteers work to match families with animals that are a good fit with the family’s home, lifestyle and personalities. This is the best place in Tampa Bay to adopt a dog or cat. There is no time limit for an animal’s stay at our pet shelter, and every animal receives compassionate care, regardless of its breed or size.

Our Vision

Create a community where every animal matters.

SPCA Tampa Bay cares for dogs, cats, pocket pets, exotic animals and livestock like goats and pigs. Animals receive immunizations, medical care, behavior training, enrichment and loving care while they live at our animal shelter in Largo.

🐾 Meet Dusty! 🐾Dusty was picked up recently after he was caught red-pawed committing a B&E (Barking and Entering). Dusty was found after entering a home through the doggy door, not once, but twice! Seeing that he was in rough shape, his new mom decided she had to step in and help him. ❤️Now, Dusty's rough days are in the past and he's living his best life! 🥰#SPCATBVetCenter #SPCATampaBay #Humanimality #forall #pethealth #rescue #puppy #dogs #loveanimals ...
